Host Events
List your events with PDC Community.
Get your events in front of Playa's most engaged community. Expats, nomads, and long-term residents who actually show up.
Before you apply
PDC Community is selective about who can post events. This keeps the quality high and the community trusting. Read the guidelines below before applying.
Who gets approved
- Community-run events always get priority. Meetups, social gatherings, wellness circles, workshops, and group activities organized by real people.
- Established local businesses hosting events that genuinely benefit the community. Openings, classes, talks, tastings.
- Regular organizers who plan to host recurring events, not one-offs.
- People based in Playa del Carmen or the immediate Riviera Maya area.
Who doesn't get approved
- Pure promotional events or product launches with no community value.
- MLM, crypto schemes, or anything that feels like a sales funnel.
- Events outside the Playa del Carmen area.
- Anyone who can't provide a real name, contact, and verifiable presence.
Event guidelines
- Be honest. Describe your event accurately. No bait-and-switch.
- Be specific. Include the date, location, what to expect, and any costs.
- Be respectful. Events must be inclusive and safe for all community members.
- Show up. If you list an event, run it. Cancellations damage trust.
- No spam. One listing per event. Don't repost the same event repeatedly.
What happens after you apply
- We review every application manually. This usually takes 1-3 business days.
- If approved, you'll receive login credentials and access to the event posting dashboard.
- If not approved, we'll let you know why. You can reapply with more information.
- Approved event managers can create, edit, and publish events directly.
We can revoke access
If events are misleading, repeatedly cancelled, or don't meet community standards, we reserve the right to remove event manager access. This is about trust.
