PDC Community started because finding your footing in a new city shouldn't be as hard as it is. We built the platform we wanted when we arrived.
How it started
Playa del Carmen is beautiful. Finding your people here used to be hard.
When people move to Playa, the information they need is scattered across Facebook groups, WhatsApp chains, outdated blogs, and word of mouth. Good recommendations are buried. Useful contacts are hard to find. And the social scene, while genuinely great, requires a lot of guesswork to break into.
PDC Community was built to change that. One platform, properly curated, with a real community behind it. Groups for every way you live. A practical guide you can trust. Events worth going to. Recommendations from people who actually live here, not advertisers.
Since 2019, we've grown to 2,400+ members from 60+ countries. The community keeps getting better because the people in it are genuinely good at this city.
